the staff were incredibly accommodating switching us to a different room without hesitation the atmosphere was warm and inviting with a lovely wood burner for cozier evenings and the location was both scenic and peaceful while being just a short stroll from the village
wifi check-in process was a bit odd

Charming stay near Grasmere
The tranquil atmosphere and warm welcome made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delightful, with hearty options that kept us full until dinner.
The room was a bit compact, which might not be ideal for those seeking more space to relax.

The room felt cramped, and the lack of space made it hard to relax—certainly not ideal for anyone over 70. With the bathroom smaller than expected, using it was more of an exercise in gymnastics than a morning routine. The pricing was on the surprising side too, feeling a bit steep for what was essentially a hostel setup, and while breakfast was included, I had hoped for a bit more overall comfort during my stay.

Staying here was a delight, especially enjoying the comfy bed and the delicious breakfast that kept me going all day. There were relaxing spots around to unwind and recharge after exploring the beautiful surroundings. The only minor downside was the slightly outdated decor, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience – definitely worth a visit! 😊

The peaceful location was perfect for unwinding, and I loved sipping a cold beer outdoors while listening to the owls at night. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making it feel like home.
A few of the breakfast options felt a bit basic and could use more variety to really impress guests.

The room was a bit smaller than expected but very clean. The bed was comfy, and the shower was surprisingly great! Having a kettle for tea and coffee was a nice touch. It felt cozy, though the bathroom might be a challenge for anyone who needs more space. Total value for the price feels off, considering it’s styled like a hostel. Breakfast was definitely the highlight. a pleasant stay!
